This is the first gas blowback offering from LCT, and it's a fantastic one.
The LCT PTK-1 is a gas blowback airsoft pistol with a beautiful split-slide design, fixed front slide section and a 30-round magazine. Its metal frame, textured polymer grip and green fiber optic front sight give buyers a clear (and sometimes superior) alternative within the Hi-Capa airsoft range.
LCT, a manufacturer long synonymous with premium steel AK AEGs, surprised the airsoft world when it unveiled the PTK-1 - its first-ever gas blowback pistol and a direct assault on the Hi-Capa market. Far from a mere brand extension, the PTK-1 is a statement of intent, built around a genuinely clever split-slide and fixed-barrel design that elevates it far above conventional Hi-Capa clones.
The defining innovation lies in the two-piece slide assembly. The rear half of the slide cycles rearward under blowback just as any traditional GBB slide would, but the front half remains locked firmly onto the frame at all times. This split-slide architecture delivers multiple practical advantages that compound into a demonstrably superior shooting experience. By halving the reciprocating mass, each shot consumes substantially less gas per cycle - the system only needs to push the rear slide section, not an entire full-length steel or alloy slab. The result is faster cyclic speed, improved gas efficiency, and snappier slide return that translates directly into faster follow-up shots. The fixed front slide section also doubles as a permanently stable optics platform. Pre-drilled with dual RMR mounting patterns - M3.5 x 0.6 screws at 18.8mm spacing and M3 x 0.5 screws at 14.1mm spacing - it accommodates a wide range of miniature red dot sights without any adapter plates. Because the front slide never moves, the optic is immune to the violent reciprocation that routinely shakes RMRs loose from traditional slide-mounted installations, finally solving a problem that has plagued competitive shooters for years.
The outer barrel is integral to the front slide section and terminates in a 14mm CCW thread with a protective thread cap, allowing the direct installation of suppressors, tracers, or compensators without intermediary adapters. Beneath the slide assembly sits a full metal middle frame incorporating a lower accessory rail, ready to accept weapon lights, laser aiming devices, and other tactical attachments.
The polymer pistol grip features an aggressive non-slip checker texture on both sides for secure purchase during rapid strings of fire, with "PTK" markings embossed into each grip panel. A 30-round metal gas magazine feeds the system, its polymer base plate carrying matching checker texturing on both flanks for a cohesive aesthetic and additional purchase during magazine changes.
The small-parts package leaves nothing to be desired. A green fibre optic front sight sits in a low-profile iron sight assembly for rapid dot acquisition in daylight conditions. The metal magazine release and ambidextrous thumb safety are both positioned for intuitive operation without breaking the firing grip, while a metal grip safety - a 1911/2011 hallmark - provides an additional layer of passive safety. The metal slide catch is likewise robustly constructed. The trigger deserves particular attention: a skeletonised metal unit in a striking silver finish, it is not only lightweight but also fully adjustable for trigger pull weight and travel, allowing the shooter to dial in their preferred break point. Internally, the PTK-1 runs on LCT's Direct-Pressure System TDC (Top Dead Center) hop-up, with an externally accessible quick-adjustment knob positioned on the front fixed slide section. This placement means hop-up tuning requires zero disassembly - a simple twist of the knob dials in the backspin with tactile, repeatable clicks, and the TDC architecture ensures perfectly even pressure on the BB for flatter, longer trajectories. The entire fire control group - including the sear, hammer, valve striker lock, striker block, and hammer assembly - is machined from high-strength steel, eliminating the wear and deformation issues that plague zinc-alloy internals during high-round-count training or competition use. The PTK-1 is also fully compatible with the vast Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa aftermarket ecosystem, meaning magazines, upgrade parts, and accessories from the world's largest GBB platform will drop straight in.
Key Features
- Split-slide design with the rear half cycling under blowback while the front half remains fixed to the frame, reducing reciprocating mass for faster cycle speed, improved gas efficiency, and snappier slide return on every shot
- Fixed front slide section with pre-drilled dual RMR mounting footprints - M3.5 x 0.6 screws at 18.8mm spacing and M3 x 0.5 screws at 14.1mm spacing - providing a permanently stable optics platform immune to the reciprocation shock that loosens traditional slide-mounted red dots
- 14mm CCW threaded outer barrel integrated into the front slide assembly with a protective thread cap, enabling direct suppressor, tracer, or compensator installation without adapters
- Full metal middle frame with an integrated lower accessory rail supporting weapon lights, laser devices, and other tactical attachments
- Green fibre optic front sight delivering rapid dot acquisition in daylight and low-light conditions
- Metal ambidextrous thumb safety and metal grip safety providing intuitive, ambidextrous fire control without breaking the firing grip
- Skeletonised metal trigger in a striking silver finish, adjustable for both pull weight and travel to suit individual shooter preference
- TDC (Top Dead Center) Direct-Pressure hop-up system with an externally accessible quick-adjustment knob on the front fixed slide, enabling toolless hop-up tuning with tactile, repeatable clicks and perfectly even BB contact for flatter trajectories
- High-strength steel internal fire control group - including sear, hammer, valve striker lock, striker block, and hammer - eliminating the wear and deformation issues common to zinc-alloy internals during sustained high-round-count use
- Polymer pistol grip with aggressive non-slip checker texture on both sides and "PTK" embossed markings, paired with a 30-round metal gas magazine featuring a matching checker-textured polymer base plate
- Full Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa system compatibility ensuring drop-in fitment with the world's largest GBB aftermarket ecosystem for magazines, upgrade parts, and accessories
