The Tech Work Process at BlackBlitz

Bringing the Gun into the Store?

Please ensure that any guns are in a box, bag, or case when brought to the store; customers bringing uncovered guns into the store will be refused service.

Bring your gun(s) to the Tech Bench

Simple services are generally done on-the-spot, while you wait.

  •          Spring changes for AEGs and BASRs
  •          Barrel group assembly, install, and testing
  •          Assisting with the installation of external accessories and furniture
  •          Installing a new motor in an AEG (this includes potentially installing a new pistol grip, as well as setting proper motor height)
  •         Fixing leaky green gas magazines (please note: we generally do not service CO2 magazines)
  •          Providing advice, including cost estimates, for upgrades, builds, and custom work
  •          General inspection and diagnosis of deeper problems

If your gun enters our work queue:

  •           A staff member will confirm all work to be done and enter it in a work order in our system
  •          They will also confirm your contact information, and create an account for you in our system if you do not already have one
  •          They will confirm other details such as budget and any special considerations
  •          We will place a red service tag on your gun, and give you a matching red ticket
  •          Please remove any accessories or attachments if you want them to use on another gun
  •          Please retain your box, bag, or case; we generally don’t have room to store these
  •          Our staff will then take pictures of both sides of your gun. These serve as a reference to make sure nothing is lost, and that any existing damage to the gun is evident
  •          The gun will then be placed in a protective sleeve while it awaits service

Contacted Us Online About Tech Work?

You are also welcome to reach out to us through one of our many online contact points regarding potential tech work. We accept work from all over Canada, and even internationally.

Please send us a message outlining any problems you are experiencing, or any work you want done. Please also be sure to include the make and model of your gun. If you are contacting us regarding building a new gun, purchased from us, let us know what model (such as with a product link to our store).

The Queue

Payment is due either at time of pickup, or before shipping the gun out. Exceptions to this would be purchasing one of our new gun builds (such as our Essential, Brushless, or HPA options).

You are always welcome to contact us to check on the status of your work order. However, please keep in mind the time completion estimate you were provided.

  •          The queue is first-come, first-served
  •          Turnaround is ~4-5 weeks
  •          Rush is available at double labour rates, and at the discretion of the Store and Tech Managers

If you have received an invoice from us, your gun is ready to go

If more than the estimated time has passed and you have not received an invoice:

  • Please check your Spam or Junk folder; our invoices sometimes end up in there
  • Call or write us for a status update, and an update to estimated completion time

When you have received your invoice:

  •          Pay online. This will be necessary if you want the gun shipped back to you
  •          Pay in-store, when you pick the gun up – if picking up in-store, please remember your box, bag, or case for safe transport
  •          Someone else pick can the gun up on your behalf. You will need to provide us with their legal name as it appears on their government ID, as well as the red service ticket given to you.
